Quick Sea bream Fish Curry

Filed under: Life as I know it — Celia Rexselin @ 10:23 am

My son likes fish a lot and I try to match his expectations by cooking fish often. But how does one cook a fish curry that will be ready in 15 minutes?

Here you go.

Ingredients:

To grind

coconut scrappings – handful

onion – one

tomato – one

garlic – 3

Rest:

Tadka – mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves

tamarind – lemon size

green chilly – 1

chilly powder – 1 tsp

corainder powder – 2 tsp

turmeric – 1 pinch

salt – 1 tsp

fish – 1/4 kg

coriander leaves – few

Steps:

1) Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once it pops up, add fenu greek and curry leaves.

2) Add ground paste,  green chilly saute well (These days, I make the grind paste during the 1st step and have it ready).

3) Add the powders and salt.

4) Soak tamarind in water. Strain and add that water.

5) Once it comes to a boil, add the cleaned fish.

6) Let it cook. You are done 🙂

I took a pic using ipod. The clarity is not that good. But I hope, you like the recipe.
