Problem Statement

I got a new sim couple of weeks back. Its a prepaid one. I used up all my talk time within a week and had to recharge. Went to the showroom nearby and did a successful recharge for a different number. Yes, you read it right. But then, this is not the problem.

The show room female told me that theres no going back and I have to call this number and get my recharge transferred. Promptly, I did this and it was a female. I hear a hindi song as the caller tune and she has a nice voice and sweetly she tells me that she will do it in the evening.

Then, she calls me in the evening and tells me that she has to leave to her town and hence will do it the next week. Now, next week also has come but she won’t return my calls. My friend tries to reach her and she picks up, apologizes and tells the same thing. After that, no returning calls for friend too.

What do you think I should be doing now? Should I persist and keep on trying? Or should I send a complaint mail to airtel office? Or should I do something nasty like making her number public? Any input would be higly appreciated.

  3. Yeah you should forget about that. We know how efficient all the customer care centres are. So, no use sending any complaint mail ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. First of all, like everyone sai, just take it easy and dont give a darn about money thrown into the ocean.. But, the question is did you recharge it? or did the person working there in the phone centre recharge it? If it was the person there, and it was no fault of yours! you have every right to complain. Thats stupid to just let that employee walk away for her mistakes!! And this is one of the few reasons why India lacks professional ethics!

  5. sad situation to be in.. you are stuck between two entities.. one the telephone company and the other is this wonderful “she” to whom your recharge went..the real problem is the mortal to whom your recharge went..we do have such wonderful elements.. why the hell on earth should “she” not transfer back or ever return calls…and the worst is you just cant do a damn about it..
    ironically, thats what life is about.. you feel like banging your head on the wall though what happened was no fault of yours (maybe classified as an error though..)at best you could draw some satisfaction by nagging “she” with calls from several numbers and give it to all your friends and asking them to call..

    @nanyaar – No ya. Its my fault only. Since my number is new, I only told the wrong number to this employee ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    @Sivakumar – I think I would have to let her go. If at all, she has some sense in her, she will repay me sometime. If not, I will just take that I did charity.

  9. if messaging is free for you .. keep messaging the she daily … Like the Gandhigiri of Lage raho munna bhai …

    A Non Violent protest … keep sending messages one day she should get annoyed .. atleast she’ll be not annoyed for behaving like that !!

    remember only if messaging is free ….

    send it at wierd hours !! and make sure your message is polite .. she cannot complain abt it to some one also … !!

    i’d keep doing this Save a message in draft and keep sending it thrice daily and one day she should return it back !!
