Bongu makkan

Filed under: Just For Laughs — Celia @ 8:32 am

Once upon a time, I thought that ‘bongu’ (cheating) was a favorite word for my brother. We would be playing carrom or cards during summer holidays. Whenever he is in the winning edge, he will tease, smirk and make me cry like mad. But whenever, I am in that same streak, he would immediately throw off his cards or coins, and shake his fist at me yelling ‘bongu’..

Then, he would cry and go to my mother who is at work in the kitchen saying.. “amme.. bindu bongu adikiraaaa”.. Then both he and myself will get nicely from dear mom.. Ok.. fine that was before a decade…

Today, that word came again into our topic.. when I heard that Brazil had been defeated by France. Brother said, that he wished Brazil and Argentina to go to the finals.. “Then, it would have been a nice match, so entertaining to watch”… I asked, “what will happen now? Would Germany win? or Italy? Do you think that this is a luck or some kinda bongu”?

He replied, “Could be.. or couldn’t.. The funniest part here is .. both Germany and Italy are bongers ( he he!! I made a noun out of it).. and in the semifinals we would know who is the more qualified bonger of the two.. Hmmm.. can’t wait to see it. 😀

  2. God! Please forgive these fellow mortals who call Germany as a ‘Bongu’ ;-D. Infact Klinsman has done a wonderful job with the German team which is exactly what England lack.

  3. This is usual, since you like some team and that team is lost doesn’t mean the other team was bongu!… You are a spectator and you should like football played by them. Which could be germany or england.. hehe!!.. France played well..

  6. Italy against Aussies were ‘Bongu’. But, they played excellent football against the Germans. Awesome!!! Felt bad for Klinsman, though! But then, they were beaten by a better team. Now that only Italy & France are left.. Italia Italia Italia!!!
