Your search ends here — Tezaa

I know that I have been not so punctual these days in posting stuff. And if I can blame my eye problem partly, the rest of it goes to this prestigious website. It started very small, coz of a book. Yeah, a book, and you won't believe. The book's name is 'the wisdom of crowds'. It speaks about how the collective decision of common men is better than the decision of a single wise man.

One colleague, inspired by this book, asked us why there is no website which would help us in deciding stuff. We all said, "GOOGLE".. Yeah, Google is always there and it does help in someway. For example, my colleague is interested in buying a laptop. Lets take for granted that he has arranged for the money (banks these days are really good), but he still hasn't decided what to buy. He asks his friends, cousins and colleagues and each one tells him one website or ask him to do google search. After, so many searches, he zeros in on a brand.

While, this is a good and time tested way, tezaa would answer this in a single step. Like this.

While, this helps the geeky kinds and bores people like me, I did find one amazing important poll by another guy in tezaa.

The best thing about tezaa is, its FREE for community and has a good tool for bloggers. Yup, GOOD THINGS ARE ALWAYS FREE 🙂 And why do you think I take such pains to write it down here? Please go visit the site, answer/create your own polls and give me good feedback/suggestions to improve and nice pat on the back.. Well, your opinion matters.. to the community.

  1. Hi there,

Being a web developer by yourself, i can spont wonders in your blog layout…Specifically to mention, i like the pen…good symbology…

By the way, these statics and polls cannot be realible, as it is a minority based poll and also you really donot the features of the samples…involved in this poll…so better spend some in google…

But for the blogs poll and stuff, i am sure you reference will help us a lot…

    cheers

  2. Collective decision.. a half a century of research and the hottest topic in robotics and unmanned aerial vechicle. Why not apply to simply things for better solution!!.. The idea behind the creation of the website is good.. so is the website!!.. At some point it becomes necessary to know at one shot.. a result about some thing instantly without going through 101 websites and read 10001 reviews and make a decision…. Keep up the work Bindhu !!… nice one!

  5. @krk- Thanks for the comment on my blog. Yes, as of now tezaa is a minority poll but with the help of the community it should soon gain enough momentum and it should become reliable. There would be a 10% error however, as not all the people would give correct answer.

On a different note, what do you think we should do to make it more reliable? Or, what feature do you want us to add?

@sujit- Thanks buddy 😀 I hope I can see some questions on science soon 🙂

@harish- adapaavi.. Indiankku enemy indian dhaaannu solradhu correct dhaan pola 😉 konjamaavadhu akkarai irundha siteukku poi eppadi sitea improve pannaaalamnu suggestionsaavadhu kuduthirakkalaaam.. Ungala thiruthaveee mudiyaadhu.

@ashok – thats all? I would have liked it more if you would have said something else instead of that smiley.

  7. I think, there should be a need to focus on particular areas first. The need/domain can be expanded later…
